Shane, you back now buddy? How was the rest of your trip? Was napa still as packed when you left? What was the best/cheapest bar for getting your drink on?? Which beach were you talking about as your fave?

How did returning the rental car go? Everything go smoothly enough to still recommend economy car rentals?

You have to take the origional and a car licence will be ok for quads and mopeds

Hi, am I right in thinking you can rent bikes/quads on car liscense? If so do I have to take the original or can it be a copy of it?

There's nothing express in Cyprus

There isn't a decent bus service around the island I'm afraid. Eman buses do trips but they're not express and run infrequently which is why most people looking to tour hire a car.

hi delboy,

ayia napa wouldn't be ideal for you, this end of the island i would suggest karrapis however it is spelt if you are targeting brit ex pat's, however i feel your'll be fightong a loosing battle if you only target that market, if you have pool maitenance qualifications, pool testing etc you would most certainly be wanting to approach hotels etc for business from them, which ayia napa will be more useful for.

for all year round business from ex pats i believe limisol could be your better bet, also being an hour drive from both napa and pahos, you could still have business in other areas on set days to make the traveling worth while!

do your homework a little better get over here and get first hand experience, things work very slowly out here so expect to go a long while untill your busy!!

7 weeks today I will have been in napa for 24 hours. I will most likely be sat round the pool trying to get a tan on my lily white legs while drinking a shandy and looking up to the clear blue sky. Cant wait!

You mean a quad bike ?

They're available in all the hire shops to hire in Ayia Napa, price varies depending on how long you want it for, the longer you have it the cheaper it is.

I am thinking of going in jan 09 and rent a place for a year and see how I get on .

I was thinking of Paphos but have been told I would be better off going somewhere near ayia napa. Don't know why

I will check out protaras, kapperis and paralimni. Ta

Is ayia napa busy all year round or is it just in the summer? not that it matter as long there are expat out all year round so I can find some work

As I wil be leaving friends and family behide, will it be easy to make new friend out there?

Hi delboy, nice to meet you. Most people speak english in ayia napa like they do in paphos (probably more). Lots of ex pats live in protaras, kapperis and paralimni which are close to ayia napa. Might be worth a look. Are you thinking of going out there anytime soon?

ayia napa is extremly busy at the moment.......could be hard to find a room.....salamy apts...green bungalows...tssokos...adams beach...macronissis...grecian bay...nissi beach are a few i can think of

A 4x4 will cost you between 40 and 80 euros per day (susuki jinmy-toyota landcruiser). You may be able to haggle when over there. Take more money!! lol

Just want to start off letting you guys know I am 26 year old and a profoundly deaf guy working for myself as a window cleaner in london.

I am looking to move Cyprus to live soon one day and do window cleaning, patio and stamp concrete polishing and offer a service looking after ex pats houses when they are not there including cleaning and pool and garden maintenance.

The thing is I have never been to Ayia Napa, Only to polis and Paphos on holiday and nearly every Cyprus people I have met speak english in paphos so I feel being profoundly deaf I did not have any problem with communication as I can hear with my hearing aids and lip read people in paphos.

I not sure where about i want to live in Cyprus yet so is there lots of brits expat living in Ayia Napa or nearby like in Paphos and do the Cyprus people speak english in Ayia Napa like they do in Paphos?

When you say atv, do you mean a 4x4? Jetski's are avilable to hire from nissi beach and used to cost about �30 for half an hour
